The Houston Local Traffic Net was formed July 14, 2020 in preparation for Field Day 2020. Originally called the Fort Bend County Traffic Net,
the Houston Local Traffic Net has been in continuous operation since then.
Initally, the nets ran on Mondays, with training sessions during the net, and this practice continues today. Because of the volume and interest in the Traffic Net, in April 2021 an additional session was added on Thursdays, with training if time permits.
A complete schedule of Area Traffic Nets is located on the HLTN.org 'Nets' webpage with the times and frequencies. Visitors are welcome and encouraged to check-in to listen and learn this important Amateur Radio skill.
This group is limited to 100 members and you can be added if you have recently participated on the HLTN. You may be removed if you have not joined the net recently.
